The American Academy in Rome

To give an idea of some of the places I spend my time, here are a few pictures of the American Academy, where I have been doing a lot of my research.

The complex is on the Janiculum hill overlooking the city

The main building (as seen here) was designed by McKim, Mead, and White, the same architects who designed much of the Morgan Library in NYC

The central courtyard. The library is off to the right. Isn't it beautiful?
